When cleaning your ceiling fans be sure and keep the blades from bending. Bending the blades can cause the fan to become un-balanced. If you hear a humming noise, check to see if the screws on the globe are tight and check the light bulb to make sure it is secure in the globe.

Smoke Alarms

If the smoke alarm is making a single beeping sound about every five minutes, it could be that your battery is becoming inoperative. Replace the battery as soon as possible. When changing batteries, make sure the replacement battery is put in correctly. To reset a smoke alarm that has gone off, hold down the reset button for 5 seconds.

Dryer 4-Wire Plug

New homes are wired with a 4-wire plug. If you have a dryer that only has a 3-wire plug you will need to buy a 4-wire plug for your dryer.

Whirlpool Bathtub

If your whirlpool tub does not work, reset the GFCI plug in the master bedroom closet. If this does not work or you do not have a GFCI plug in your closet you may have to reset the GFCI breaker in the main panel.

Outside Plugs

If your outside plugs are not working, reset the GFCI plug in the garage - they are wired together.
